Project roles: Film project management, Website design, film project management, social media Strategy, media management. About the film: 3 adventurers, a film-maker and a photographer set off on a 6 day, 300km unsupported journey. By combining new bike-packing and pack-rafting technology, they link together white-water rivers and backcountry tracks through some of NZ’s underappreciated wilderness areas. To add to the drama, only months before a massive earthquake changes their plans and reveals opportunities to explore new landscapes. The Waiau-toa Odyssey has been awarded the hiddleston / macqueen Award for the best NZ made film for the 2017 New Zealand mountain film festival!

Smartraft animation was developed for Nelmac conservation and ecological division to describe the process of the floating treatment wetland system consisting of a buoyant raft floating on a body of water. Plants grow on the raft in a type of matrix or soil media. They extend their roots into the water underneath and source the nutrients from the water. This project involved developing a storyline, illustrations and a soundscape for the animation. For a HD version of the animation see my vimeo account http://vimeo.com/user444031/smartraft
